Medina is a city in Saudi Arabia. It was the first capital of the Islamic state known before Islam as Yathrib. it contains prophet mosque which is the second most important holy place for Muslims after Mecca.
Medina is the city where the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, the Messenger of Islam from Mecca, emigrated, and in which the nucleus of an Islamic state began. It is the fifth largest city in Saudi Arabia.
